Foster Parent Program

teens for adoption.jpg

The Chambliss Shelter is always seeking healthy, stable adults to become foster parents. All training and background checks are provided at no cost to you.  You must be a Tennessee resident, 25 years of age or older, and willing to participate in the training and home study process (conducted by our staff).

About the children:

All children placed in our foster homes are in the custody of the Department of Children's Services (DCS). Our agency primarily serves children between the ages of 10 to 17 years of age. Our goal is to find permanent homes for every child.  Initially, we seek reunification with the birth family.  When this is not possible, we work to find an adoptive home and facilitate the adoption.
